Riding to Agia Marina Monastery

The monastery of Agia Marina is located 500m south of the village of Voni in Heraklion. The monastery was founded in 1895 by John Kaparounakis at the side where it is said that he drank water from a spring and that helped him miraculously recover from a serious disease.

There was already a small chapel at the point, but was owned by a Turk, Hosref Pasha, who did not want to allow the construction of the monastery.

Discover Lassithi Plateau

The Lasithi Plateau stretches 11 km (6.8 mi) in the E-W direction and 6 km (3.7 mi) in the N-S direction. It is approximately 70 km (43 mi) east from Heraklion and lies at an average altitude of 840 m (2,760 ft).

Winters can be harsh and snow on the plain and surrounding mountains can persist until mid-spring. The plateau is famous for its white-sailed windmills, (more accurately, wind-pumps), made to a local design, that have been used for two centuries to irrigate the land. Despite there being around 10,000 in the past, most of them have been abandoned in recent times in favour of modern diesel and electric pumps.

From Heraklion to Bali and...back

The seaside resort of Bali is located in a large gulf, 30km east of Rethymno and 43km west of Heraklion. Next to the village passes the National Road linking Heraklion and Rethymno, making Bali accessible from any part of the island.

It is ideal for the Sunday meeting of Crete’s motor bikers.
Last Sunday we drove from Heraklion to Bali and back .

How to ... κάνετε τις εξατμίσεις σας κούκλες!

Η αλήθεια είναι ότι στην εποχή του διαδικτύου μπορείς να βρεις πληροφορίες για ότι σε ενδιαφέρει. Και μάλιστα σε τεράστια ποσότητα.

Για κάποιο λόγο αποφάσισα να γυαλίσω τις εξατμίσεις από το  Yamaha XT 660 X μου θέλοντας να του δώσω μια πιο προσεγμένη εμφάνιση.

Σαν μέλος του ΧΤ Club στο facebook απευθύνθηκα στα μέλη της παρέας ζητώντας πληροφορίες και βοήθεια. να ναι καλά τα παιδιά με κατέκλυσαν με τόση πληροφορία που στο τέλος μπερδεύτηκα.
