How to ... Create and publish a 4Κ resolution time lapse video in YouTube

Video resolution refers to the number of horizontal lines in the video. For example, 720p means that the video has 720 horizontal lines, each with a width of 1280 pixels. Higher numbers of lines and pixels result in greater
detail and clarity. 4K, refers to a horizontal screen display resolution in the order of 4,000 pixels.So, a video with resolution of 4K is considered higher quality than 720p because it consists of 3840 lines, each with a width of 2160 pixels.

Owning a GoPro Hero 5 Session that can film in 4K i was eager to try the video recording in such a great resolution.

My simple setup 

The idea was very simple. To  film a time lapse video in 4K, by setting up the GoPro on my terrace and pointing her towards the  Heraklion International Airport "Nikolaos Kazantzakis". I know that i had power limitations for my small experiment. That is why i connected my GoPro with a Intenso power bank that has a 10400 mAh total capacity.if both the GoPro and your Intenso power pack are fylly charged then they will last for 24 hours or recording.If not...choose another power solution.

I did not use any extreme setting for the camera.Just left it on the basic settings which is 4K with 10 seconds interval time recording.

4K resolution in You Tube

So after 24 hours of recording i had a file 1.95 gigs big and that i uploaded directly to my You tube channel. Well i was aware about the known limitations GoPro has when filming is contacted during nighttime,but ok i wanted to film the sunrise which was very impressive.
The small white dots that appear like rockets, are simply the landing lights of airplanes arriving in the airport.

Yes i know...it takes a while, and also it takes some time for You Tube to process it.Actually it takes ages from my home connection. But from the other hand having the opportunity to share videos in 4K is something worth to wait.
You do not need some extra settings when uploading your video.The usual . Descriptions ,tagging etc. You tube will process your video after the upload and then it will be in 4K format available.

The result was fulfilling my expectations .Check for your self in the video bellow and don't forget that you only need... a cam that can record in 4K, a power solution, time and imagination.

Also please take in mind that birds love to play and destroy your action cam.So secure it with a ti-rap, otherwise your cam has some possibilities to end in a place you don't want to.
